sn36.19:10.1 And what is that pleasure?
sn36.19:10.2 It’s when, with the giving up of pleasure and pain and the disappearance of former happiness and sadness, a mendicant enters and remains in the fourth absorption, without pleasure or pain, with pure equanimity and mindfulness.
sn36.19:10.3 This is a pleasure that is finer than that.
sn36.19:10.4 There are those who might say
sn36.19:10.5 that this is the highest pleasure and happiness that sentient beings experience.

sn36.19:10.7 Why is that?
sn36.19:10.8 Because there is another pleasure that is finer than that.
