sn22.55:1.1 At Sāvatthī.

sn22.55:1.2 There the Buddha expressed this heartfelt sentiment:

sn22.55:1.3 “‘It might not be, and it might not be mine. It will not be, and it will not be mine.’

sn22.55:1.4 A mendicant who makes such a resolution can cut off the lower fetters.”

sn22.55:1.5 When he said this, one of the mendicants said to the Buddha,

sn22.55:1.6 “But sir, how

sn22.55:1.7 can a mendicant who makes such a resolution cut off the lower fetters?”
