Aku biasa mempersembahkan berbagai macam korban;
I used to perform a diverse spectrum of sacrifices;

Aku memuja api suci,
I served the sacred flame,

‘Esā suddhī’ti maññanto,
“Inilah kesucian,” demikian pikirku,
imagining, “This is purity.”

andhabhūto puthujjano.
aku adalah orang awam yang buta.
I was a blind, ordinary person.
