iti74:5.2 It’s when a child’s parents
iti74:5.3 have gone for refuge to the Buddha, the teaching, and the Saṅgha.
iti74:5.4 They don’t kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, or consume intoxicants of beer, wine, and liquor. They’re ethical, of good character.
iti74:5.5 But their child
iti74:5.6 has not gone for refuge to the Buddha, the teaching, and the Saṅgha.
iti74:5.7 They kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, and consume intoxicants of beer, wine, and liquor. They’re immoral, of bad character.
iti74:5.8 That’s how a child fails their birth.
iti74:5.9 These are the three kinds of children found in the world.”
